Well, I've got a great family consisting of two wonderful parents and two great older brothers. We are all a pretty close family and still manage to have most dinners together. I'll give you a chronological look at my life:

  • Born Sunday, November 27th
  • Lived in North Van. until the age of 6
  • Moved to Surrey (Cloverdale)
  • Attended Latimer Road from grades 1-4
  • Transferred to Sunrise Ridge Elementary for 5-6 (New school)
  • Transferred to Veddar Elementary for grade 7 (Had planned to move to Chilliwack - never materialized.)
  • Enrolled at Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School grades 8-10
  • Bought my first car - 1975 Fiat Spyder!
  • Was given my second car - 1978 Fiat Spyder!
  • Transferred to the brand new Clayton Heights Secondary for grades 11 and 12.
  • Went to Ecuador in Spring of grade 12 (2001)
  • Was accepted to TechBC (Technical University of British Columbia)
  • Completed the 1st year studies at TechBC.
  • Decided to travel instead of continuing at TechBC(now taken over by SFU)
  • Currently about to embark on a large backpacking trip.

And that about sums my life up.

Grown up in a suburbia of sorts... seen harder and better times. Been lucky enough to have a family that loves eachother fully. I've been dreaming of Backpacking through Europe probably since I was 10. The thought of travelling always got my heart racing and when I took off for spring break 2001 to Ecuador - travelling became the forefront of my goals. After TechBC kinda bombed it seemed the logical conclusion to take a few years off and travel!!! And thats what I'm doing now.

I was initially planning to do Europe. Start in UK, live and work there for a few months. Then I was planning to start travelling around the rest of Europe for a while. That was until I found a family who are currently sailing the world and are always picking up crew. Do I know them? No, not really. Could it be terrible? Yes, it could. That makes it all the more adventurous. I'm going to be joining them for their Panama to Austrailia leg. This will be island hopping through the South Pacific - what could be better!!! I'm just hoping that all the tropical storms avoid us and our little ship :O.

If I arrive in Austrailia(might just jump ship in a tropical destination never to return), I'll be getting a visa for a year and then travel/work my way around. I may end up just spending a few months in OZ and then continue travelling up through S.E. Asia... or even come home for a break from travelling ;P... We'll see how I'm feeling when I get there!

Anyways... in the end I hope to see things I can't even imagine and have experiences my dreams could never create. And yea, one of these days I might start thinking about a career and family stuff. I'm kinda hoping my travels will help enlighten me... and take me to my ideal career. We shall see!

Cheers.
